I know this is a bit off topic since it is a car forum and all and there is ebay. I am looking at ebay for this as well so any help would be appreciated. Basically I am looking for a nintendo NES and other goodies needed to play. Id like a functional working one USA preffered. Anyone selling one or know where i can get one for a good deal id be much obliged and will give rep! lol thanks one and all.

If you can hold out a little longer, I'd say pick up a NEX from playmessiah. It'll play NES and Famicom games, it's smaller than a NES, has better video quality, and has built-in wireless controller support. I'm seriously considering getting one so I can retire my old NES.

i have the console but no controllers. i may even still have the wires for it...i'll check and let you know.

yeah i saw this but im unsure about comp and what not since ive never heard of em before my search on gamestop last night. ill have to do further research we shall see though what happens.

ok one question about the NEX that is comming out. It says that it has not come out yet but on gamestop website it says pre-release on october 25th. so does this pre-release mean itl get shipped to my house on the 25th or only select few then or what? any insight?

That thing looks pretty awesome actually...makes me wonder if nintendo approved that thing or if its a shady taiwan bootleg, lol

see thats the thing im debating if its just a bootleg like any other thing. i read the faq about it and it says it has nothing to do with nintendo since it uses some new pin connectors or w/e. who knows though!

how much you thinking...and are you willing to sell?

Let me get you a list of the games, check to make sure everything works, and research how much they usually go for...I'll get back to you.

because i am a gamer and prefer to have consoles. i used to have a nes but i took it with me to an apartment in mexico and we sold it with the nes in it i was sad :(

I agree with Wheel Man.

However - you won't be able to play lightgun games - and emulation is not quite the same as hardware. It's close, but not quite the same. Even 100% emulation still passes through alternate i/o. I have just about every emulator and rom you can think of. (I've got over 2TB of HD space) I have picked up USB to Console controller adapters and they work good, but you still will run into the occasional snag. However, there are advantages to emulators such as being able to pause at any time, save and restore rom states at any time. You can even do good old game genie type hex address hacking if you want.

I wish I had never sold the following systems: Intellivision, Atari, Colecovision, NES, Sega Master System, Genesis, Turbo Grafix-16, Neo Geo Gold (modded), Saturn.

I have held onto the following since: Neo Geo Pocket Color, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Xbox (2 both modded), PS2, GamePark 32, GBA, NDS, PSP.

Strangely enough an Odyssey2 system found it's way into my hands. This and Intellivison were the first game systems I had as a kid. The unit doesn't work, but I hold onto it for sentimental reasons.

If you want to collect games - it's pretty simple - don't toss them out. When you aren't using them - pack them up with bubbletape in cardboard boxes and toss them up in the closet. Eventually when I get a house - or a larger apartment, I'll move onto collecting Jamma Cabinets. There are some killer deals on ebay for those. I've also been looking at picking up a Supergun unit. Google for that if you aren't familiar.
