WTB: 01' and up Protege/Protege5 (TEXAS)

Hello everyone, looking to spend up to $8000 on an 01' and up Mazda Protege or Protege5(preferred). Under 150,000 miles preferred, standard transmission a must, clean title, the more stock, the better.

I'm primarily looking for cars in Texas because I don't want to even think about buying a car before I see it, drive it, and fall in love with it. I live in Fort Worth, so OK or any other nearby states are okay. But please don't inquire if you live in MA or some other far away state, thank you.

I'm looking for a car because I NEED one, unfortunately my beloved 89' MX6 has a blown head gasket right now and I've been saving for awhile for a new car so I will focus on a new car now and head gasket on the MX6 later.

He's had it up for sale for a while now so you might be able to talk him down a bit more on the price. It's got a little more miles than what you prefer, however, it's bone stock and was well-taken care of by the looks of it. I've talked to the seller a few times and he's great to deal with. I know the Miata guys have had great experiences with him. Hope you find a vehicle soon.

^ I actually had bookmarked that one for awhile and was considering it, especially because how beautiful it is! But I actually just got this 01' ES for $4150 the other day(cabpatch) 86k on it, standard transmission, bone stock, clean carfax, couldn't be happier I appreciate the offers though everybody! But I'm glad to be part of the Protege clan now!
