worn out driver seat

when i bought my MS6 it only has 15k on it and the first thing i noticed when i got in was that the left side of the driver seat was creased and wearing out from getting in and sitting down on that part. it's the GT version with leather seats. Anyone else noticing this on theirs? I currently have 20k on it and i try to stay away from sitting right on that part of the seat but it it somewhat difficult because of how the seat is designed. Any suggestions?

no but i had an accord the the left side basically got ripped off over time.. it depends on how you sit down and get out.. i wore studded belts.. so im sure that didnt help either.

Is it starting to crack become less comfortable than the rest of the seat?

Really the only options are re-upholstering and, basically, re-stuffing that side or just buying a new seat. Not much else you can do, unfortunately

it hasn't ripped or anything i just noticed it was wrinkled looking and the leather looks a little more worn out. just wondering if anyone else has noticed this this early on the mileage . has anyone bought a new seat or re-upholstered yet?

mine looks fairly worn too.. but, thats how midgrade leather is.. i had a 12 year old lexus with that coach leather package and it stayed perfect for years... i dont think these will fun to re-upholster cuz of the airabags?? i just went and got a used pair of recaros.. at least with those you can use a seatcover..

my leather shows some dullness but all in all after almost 4 years the seat looks good, although I always wear these True Religion jeans and the buttons on the back pocket always scratch the leather...

I started to condition mine this summer, and I'm trying to treat the leather better in the hopes that it will last longer. Not sure if it actually helped or not yet though...

ya i condition the leather every summer, i think it works but i cant stand the smell of the product i use

I have the exact same crease! After only15k also! BUT I FIXED MINE...

...wanna know the prob?...well...

...I was 455 pounds and 5'2"!

I dropped a fat jiggly ton and my ass stopped trying to eat the seat upon entry!

Now my tits are so saggy they fall through the steering wheel and hit the wipers on, causing my foot to jab the accelerator while my kickballs r still hanging out the car causing them to be sucked up by the vics/vcts!

I just crapped out a butterfly valve!
...still waiting for a rod and 3 screws...

Restore it...simple fix, returns it to like new condition. Just be sure to clean and condition from that point forward so that you dont have to do it again for a long time.

This should give you a basic idea...

Leather repair.

daaamn 450!? anyway ya my seat is pretty garnly too, dude who owned it before me was a big dude too. I just try to avoid that part of the seat when i hop in.

yeah, if you weighed 450 this would be the only awd turbo you could fit into.. thats probably cuz of ford.. and their wide ride policy.. im going recaro.. and i need to drop a couple just to fit right..

I have the sport and when I bought mine with 11k miles on it, it already was worn on the left side. Just the left side. It looks like the fabric is loose and causing it to wrinkle up...its ugly...

lol, oldschool thread bump.

my ms6 is at 46k miles, the seats still look practically new.
for some reason its the ONE thing the previous owner took care of.
I use leather treatment once a month to try and keep it that way as long as i can.

I have cloth seats and that spot has a bunch of creases and is starting to flatten out. Time for sparcos. :)

That is hysterical!!! Not poking fun at you, but just the way you wrote that rocked! I've got the same creases/dirt in the same spot. I noticed it right away when I bought it w/ 22,000 on the odo. Mine was a lease return, so the guy probably never touched it. I can't imagine how to get the creases out... I used amoral on it a few times, and it's pretty damn clean.... I'm lost as to what to do @ the creases though :/
