I mean Jesus... The guy nailed my door so hard that it set my alarm off.. This has a super cool alarm which pages me when it goes off... So I walk outside just in time to see the shiny white Maxima pull away...

The results (note the mirror too.. How the hell do you do that??)

at least I know who it was since he always parks in the same area. (This was in my parkinglot at work)

I'm sure a paint shop could confirm whether that's Nissan white or not. If it is, you've got him by the balls.(omg)

oh, there's no doubt who's car it was.. I saw it, and there was a nice crease about 2" from the edge on his door.. and it bent his little rub strip too :) no paintless repair for him :)

I saw it today when I tried to track him down and left a nasty note..

Worse comes to worse, I think we have cameras in the lot too...

that sucks!

by the way, your car looks lowered in the last pic (really low)... whatchoo got?

ahh yes the wonderful pager car alarm. Now only if we could get cameras and closed circuit television hooked up.. and throw in a perimiter cage and a personal security guard..

Sucks about the door. At least you know who it is and can nail him. I'm still looking for the person that dinged and keyed my doors. Was he late for work or something? He must have been getting out REALLY FAST to do that.. bastards I tell you.

Almost any alarm would go off with an impact like that! That really sucks...I hope all goes well in getting reimbursed for that.

yes the car is lowered... It's on H&R's and stock shocks..
pis here for those that are curious

The alarm? Top of the line Car toys Audiovox Prestige system.

EDIT: I'm going on the assumption that he didn't do it on purpose. We had about 40mph winds that day, so I'm gonna be the nice guy and assume it was inadvertant. (but he's still gonna fix it)

What a jerkoff. I still stick to my theory that we should allow caning in the US. Cane that f0cker.

my last store manager had hit my old car the exact same way. knowing full well that i was getting rid of that little toyota, i checked the lot late at night, parked next to his Grand Prix, threw the door open and WHAMMO, no more passenger mirror glass on that Pontiac :)

This furthers my theory that there are people driving around out there that have no clue there are other cars and drivers around them.

A couple years ago some fool hit my old MX-6 so hard in a parking lot that the car was moved out of its parking spot. He was going in reverse. He must have just put it in gear and floored it.

To hell with whatever's behind me!

UPDATE:

day two and no response to my polite note... I'm going back to pay him a visit with my big black co-worker in the morning :)

I think that you should try to talk to him personally at least once before getting the police or a lawyer involved.

I advise against that. Obviously you're dealing with a jerkoff because he nailed your car and took off in the first place. If you try to confront him now, there are about two possibilities:

1) It will turn into a physical confrontation, which at best will get you nowhere, and at worst will get someone thrown in jail for assault.

or

2) He'll deny it, and in the ensuing argument, you might say something that will jeopardize your argument in court.

The damage is obviously less than $1000. Gather up all your evidence against him, and go to your local justice court and file a suit against him in small claims court. Sue him for the damage plus court costs. There are no lawyers involved. When he receives the summons, he will have a chance to settle it which he will likely do if he knows what's good for him. If it goes to court, take all your evidence and tell the judge what happened. He'll owe you money and have a judgement on his credit, which should serve to piss him off pretty well.

Or, if you have insurance, just go get it fixed. Easiest way.
