Hey everyone....so i got a widebody kit for a protege and im gona do some modifications to the rear bumper and fender flares to make it work and look right. The kit came with new front fenders that come out about 3+" from stock. I dont have any ideas on how to figure out what size or offset wheels I'll need to get. If anyone can help me out or redirect me to another Thread it would be greatly so appreciated. Thanks guys

can you post pics of the kit? this is the first time i've ever heard of a widebody kit for a protege

I can try later im just on my phone. But yeah widebody kit from vis back in 04.the guy i bought it from never installed it. Still new in box $200. Ive never seen one done like this

Now...is this a true "widebody" or simply a "wide fender" kit?

...and for the wheels...hrmm, that's a LOT of offset. Thought about hub spacers in conjunction with more offset. Granted spacers will put more stress on the wheel bearings, but IIRC, so will wheels with ridiculous offsets.

im not sure. its a fiberglass kit. 10 peice includes front clip, rear bumper clip, front fenders, rear fender flares and side skirts. im trying to upload pics now but having trouble

Most "wide fender" kits are at best an 8 piece kit w/ bumpers, skirts, flares

10-16pc kits are usually "widebody" kits, so I bet you lucked out with that one. Jealous (eekdance)
But you'll still need to widen the wheel path. Thus the purpose of a widebody. make the car wider to Effectively shorten the wheel base.

Either way, you've got a lot of bodywork ahead of you...unless you've got a good body shop.

Luckily for him this while hellaflush/gay and stance crap have made alot of companies producing negative offset wheels. 0 offsets and possibly a spacer should do fine.

Only protege I've seen with a wide body kit was the p5 truck
