Why no Radar Cruise Control or Forward Obstruction Warning?

No one's really sure, they got removed from the specs some time ago, at which point I decided the tech package wasn't worth it anymore.

Just talked to Mazda - it's gonna be available as an option on cars ordered after November - apparently the radar unit up front is a pretty expensive piece...

If that's so are they planning on increasing the price of the tech package? I can understand it if they did, but given that that was the only piece I ever wanted, $1600 was already pushing it for radar cruise for me.

I doubt I'll regret buying now. I've been playing with my new toy for the past couple of hours, I'm frigging giddy!

they confirmed the price will increase when this feature is added, but I don't know if it will be included in the Tech Pkg or as a separate option. I too love my new car - and the more I think about it, the radar features would make my Valentine 1 all but worthless!

I think there is a button to override this if a mob of bikers stop in front of you and you want to run through them?

I guess I will wait after Nov to see what the option is worth and if it does brake for you completely to 0. (Stop and Go cruise like in BMW)

Honestly these are great features but I feel more comfortable controlling the car on my own, heck I don't even feel comfortable using regular cruise control haha
