Which one handles better?

I'm trying to convince a friend that the P5 is better than the normal Protege hatch.

I don't know if you've got that model in USA but the normal 323 hatch we've got here in Australia is the 1.8L (92kw), while the P5 (SP20 here) is a 2.0 L (98kw)... not much diff in terms of power as you can see.. I suppose the real diff is in the looks... Regarding handling, is the P5 much better than the normal hatch?

I am going to take a stab and say the SP20 is better... since it is a sport model... but just see if the suspension and everything mechenical is the same (for stability and steering)... if not, then my guess would be the SP20 has the better of the two.

gunners, i'm an aussie, and you can certainly trust me when i say the sp20 is much better...springs are of a different rate, shocks are matched to that and the sp20 has bigger sway bars.

any q's, email me.

Your normal protege hatch must be equivalent to our Protege SE sedan not offered in the states. It has a 1.6l and very basic.
