What's the deal with the rims....

Alright...I love my car and the wheels that came with it, but they are kind of skinny! I've noticed people on other sites with 19" rims. Doesn't that cause a problem being that the wheel wells aren't the biggest and the front suspension is right freakin next to the wheel? Is there away to get wider tires without it bumping up against the suspension or well for that matter?

Yea... wheels/tires are kinda skinny for our car. I think it was done that way to take as much advatage from AWD as they could. Skinnier tires are better than wide ones in snow. I dunno... that's my theory.

Yes, you can have wider wheels/tires. As far as I know, on the 18's you can go 18x8 on the wheels, and 225/45/18 without rubbing. Even with lowering springs.

Tires are 40 or 45, don't remember.

They certainly didn't do it for snow. The tires that come with speed6 can't touch snow with a 10 foot pole.
