What's it take to get a MS6 into the 12's?

I've seen a few low 13 second cars but what's it take to get to 12.9? Can bolt-on's do it? As of now I've got TMIC upgrade, test pipe, SRI, TurboXS BOV, and looking to pick up an AP. That should be good for mid to low 13's I would guess....but what's it take to get into the 12's?

Anyone run below a 13?

There is a thread in the Protege Garage forum for a car that ran 12.9X IIRC. That was awhile ago (before AP) so I would think it would be easier now. You are on your way though with the mods you have. An AP, tune, TIP and some good rubber would get you there now i would think. Then again I don't know much about this subject. Just my .02

I can't imagine rubber playing a vital role. Not saying it won't. But I had a twin turbo Stealth into the 12's with a K&N, MBC, and no mufflers and I couldn't get much more than a chirp on a hard launch. What about fuel pumps/pressure. It seems to be a little weak in these cars?

I'll seek out that thread. I found another one on the Speed forums where a cp-e car was putting down over 400hp. I was just wonder about the stock internals.

To get a speed 6 into the 12's you need good driving. The car with the least mods run a 12 sec pass is the PG one. Ran a 12.9 with DP, TMIC, Xede tune, and intake I think.

So with full bolt ons you should be over 300whp which is enough to hit high 12's in this car with good driving. Also depends on temp / altitude / etc. . .

This car can run 13.5's bone stock.
