What tube is this? Inspection tube?

I guess the thread I created yesterday got corrupted somehow.

Long story short, trying to identify this tube in the picture. Did a search, someone in a thread described what to be called an inspection tube? I have no clue. Best I got out of searching.

No, it isn't supposed to be capped. It is a tube that was used as a manufacturing inspection point, while the car was being built.

It doesn't serve any other purpose.
