What have you done to your P5 today?

They are a b**** but use plenty of lube and they will come off. Getting the new urethant ones on is an even bigger b****. Heh-heh.

If I owned a shop I would definetely have one of these handy tools for removing them.

Lots of lube. I've yet to get one of those tools, but I need to. I just always forget everytime the tool guy(s) come around. lol My longest pry bar is my tool of choice at work.

You know, since you had to sacrifice the AC to have the SC, you should totally wire the SC to the AC switch! It's just sitting there doing nothing now, and it would be an amusing surprise if you ever let someone borrow your car! :D

Not sponsored, no... but Dino's helped me out a few times. It's always been easy enough for me to call him up and say "Hey... I need this, make it happen." and BOOM I have parts a couple days later.

Sounds good IMO and quieter than I expected at idle, cruising at 3k is nice when you get to the 3.5k range there is some drone but not too bad and at WOT it sounds good. I have a vid on photobucket, just need to link it up.
 
car was dirty today so i gave her a nice wash and wax. and finished up the rest of the engine bay in the cracks that i couldnt get to last time when i did the engine wash.
feels good, car is smooth and engine bay is shiny :D +1
 
^^^ Since you're the wash/wax/detail guy, what would you recommend for an engine bay wash (brand of cleaner) and how to? I'm always a little leery about using a hose in the engine bay though have seen it done a few times from others. I usually just spray some cleaner on a rag and go to town.
 
From all my exp with engine washing from the shop that we do on every car, what we do is using this degreaser called "Hot Stuff" degreaser, we usually use a power washer on the low pressure. we spray down the engine spots wherever with hotstuff and then let it sit on the warm engine, and then we would wash teh engine like normal. after that we just have microfiber towels and brushes to jsut scrub spots with our all purpose cleaner called "Total Clean" (hi-def auto detail website) and spray spots that werent clean on both the spot and on towel and just clean it up. Afterwards we dry the car with our air compressor hose and spray down alternator and other stuff that are more vital (i also disconnect the battery terminals before the spray down). and after its all dry i dress it up with "Whip Juice" our dress up spray. and put on some dielectric grease on battery terminals to prevent the corrosion stuff.
and thats about it.

Usually it clean its up nicely. when spraying near the spark and coil pack i sprayed it at and angle and farther away to prevent it from being hit with water too hard and possible water going into the harness and causing a short or something.
