This time is was out of nothing but pure laziness. The crank seal started pouring oil and I just kept adding oil to it instead of fixing it..

yeah i'm getting the rods/pistons first and i'll work from there...

but i'm keeping that extra block/head i have because they are in great condition. that way i can drive until BOOM, and then just swap the built one in.

Wish it was that easy to find spare blocks in my area. The very few places I've found are asking well over $1200 because they have them rebuilt ready for a swap with warranty. I asked if I could get one before they rebuilt it with no warranty and they just laugh.

I need 10 of you guys to swear to me that the FS is actually a free-wheeling engine design and not interference! Also along with that, I need a commitment from those 10 to PayPal me $10 if it turns out to be an interference engine. All of my technical data says it is, whereas everyone here says it's not. I found a 55,000 mile motor with a broken timing belt for $100 because the guy thinks it's junk because of the broken belt... So, where are the 10 of you that will pay me $10 each if it's not!? LOL But seriously...

the fs is non-interference, for $100 I'd take the motor

Non interference no doubt!!!... But I have read on here where valves have actually been damaged after a timing belt broke... But could have just as easily been butterfly screws flying around at one point prior??
