What gauges to install?? What info is most important?

If you had (or have) a dual gauge pod in your msp, which gauges would you (or did you) install??

I have a boost gauge but I am not sure what to put in the other hole...

EGT, A/F, Oil Press, Trans temp, Volts, Water temp, Fuel press, etc...?????
(yupnope)

Depends on what your planing on doing to your car!! But basically im with jersey oil press or wideband. Just dont get the autometer a/f though cause that gauge is useless.

I got Stewart Warner performance gauges and I love them. :D so much better then the Autometer (which was part of Stewart Warner back in the day) and they compliment the factory cluster so well. :D

goto www.sw-performance.com to check em out. :D I suggest either an EGT or oil pressure.

Ditto...I too have the SW-Performance gauges & nothing but good things here. I have the Boost/vac (15psi) & oil pressure gauge..and I love them! Here's a pic:

If you're only gonna monitor one (oil press. or temp) then I would go w/ the Oil Pressure....you know for a fact your in trouble if you lose pressure, but how much info are you gonna be able to gather "on the fly" w/ just the oil temp (too hot...you should know w/ your water temp too)

Ahh good point, you sold me on the pressure then :)

I am shopping now. They like 10-15 more than the autometer version it looks like.

Higher EGT = Leaner A/F ratio
Lower EGT = Richer A/F ratio
True, but also the higher the EGT,t he more risk of detonation(leaner), or it could just indicate youre running advanced timing. The benefits of colder plugs are immediately apparent when you have an EGT gauge. Unfortunately, i dont have one(yet).

How hard is it to install an oil pressure gauge? I put in my boost gauge yesterday, and now I have an empty hole in my panel.
