Drove to work the other day in the pouring rain in my 2 week old Speed. When I got to work I noticed the carpet looked wet. I felt the carpet it was soaked. The windows were up and It was perked in my gurage when I got in.

Does anyone have any idea where the water came from? Its on the front driver and passenger side. Its been 4 days now and its still wet. My car now smells like wet dog.

Im gonna take it to the dealer and have them check it out. Im going to make them replace the carpet because that smell will probably never come out.

So not the flat floor but the angled part going up to the dash?
Is it by the door or in the center?

its all over. if you lift the carpet up the water is puddled up. covers the whole floor pan. i sucked some up with a shop vac. but the carpet is still wet. Because the water was every where i couldent tell if it was coming from a door or from somewhere else.

The agled part of the floor is a good place to look for entry ways.
If that is dry then it is not from the firewall its from the doors.
However for the doors to do it obviously the side sills have to be wet.

Does the warranty cover this?

Yes it will. There is no reason in the world for a car to take on water especialy if totaly stock.

Although tell that to Dodge and GM, there POS trucks do it.

all your problem is the water exit of the air conditioner put a more larger hose in the motor area this part dont seal good and leak water to the pasanger side.

my wife car have this problem im repair yesterday

only look inside in the passenger side the a/c conderser area

Hell, I would clain it as Flood insurance, the car gets totalled, and get yourself something that will make MAD power. :D

Just got my speed back from the dealer. They replaced my carpet matts, jack, spare tire. The dumb asses at the factory forgot to seal the floorboard seams and did not install the tail light seals. Oh well its all good, PLUS they installed new sway bar bushings (no more clunk). and I got the much talked about ECU upgrade. Now it runs perfect. not sure but i think it increased the hp or maybe thats just because the problems are fixed.

The dealer found water in the trunk too. they pulled out all carpet to check all the seals, I did not know untill i got it back today. Floor Board seams in the front, taillight seals in the rear.
