ONLY USE ONE OF THE GLOBAL SETTINGS! PREFERABLY THE SWITCH!smp3000 said:BTW Chas- do you have your global switch settings all set? Meaning are you using all four settings- rpm, deflection, amp, and throttle? If so what are they set to? I'd love to see what everyone has theirs set to. Right now I'm only using the ign and that's set to come on at .72 and it seems just about right.

Dude I have mine coming on at .75, so you may need to go lower. My turbo has a bit more lag than yours, so you should be in boost sooner. Here is a snap shot of my map, where the 1's are is where I come into boost. I have them one line lower then where I usually come into boost so I can boost in 5th. It is still rich as hell, so I need to lean it out. I'll probably have 0's in that area when done.smp3000 said:Very true- but me and Linux have the exact same turbo and I think his is set to .75 or so... I'm at .72 right now. I could test .68 or something and see what happens. When we originally set it we were using a laptop with a battery and were able to see right when it should come on- and that setting was .75, but since then I've switched wastegates so it has chaned a bit.
Chas what does your ign map look like? Is it backwards as well? hehe

Yup, but when it comes on, it's on!!! That is where it is when I am driving around at normal speeds and step on it. I get 8psi at around 3700-3800 RPM when I nail it from 2k RPM.igdrasil said:Damn! is that right?
I already have 3psi of boost @ 2500rpms on my TO3
yeah..by advancing the timing..you can actually get the turbo to spool up faster..but i didn't want to go crazy. So they are very moderate.smp3000 said:I thank you for your help with these maps Chas. I too have only my ears as guard against knock- so I am also pretty safe with the timing pull.
Should my numbers differ at all from yours since you're spooling up so much faster? On the 1X16 Amp scale .62 and .70 are like two cells apart (where each of our switches turn on). Should I shift my numbers two cells up since my switch isn't turning on till then- or does it really not matter that much?
As of today the car feels damn fast at higher RPM's but is still pretty dog slow at the lower rpm's since I don't really hit boost till 3500 or so. I need to advance some timing in those lower RPM's like you did in your map.
Yeah..that turbo module is kickin tons of fuel..I know i could boost higher if i really wanted..and not have to worry about runnin out of fuel..but i am very limited w/ only stock internals..igdrasil said:Of course you have a "0" on the analog global settings...you have the map loaded with "6's" hehhehee
Its like having a 4 in the Global and 2-3 on the map.
I have it in 7 and my map is loaded with 1 and 2's and if I want to go low temps...a 3
The interesting part is....the boosted area...impresive you dont have higher numbers.
