Hey Sir Nuke, I ran into the same problem. I had to upload new pics and specify a name for the gallery or file that I wanted them in. That would be done in the box right below the upload box. then you can post a link to the gallery and we will be able to view all the pics in the specified gallery. I am not sure why we can no longer insert an image into the post? Anybody else have any insight on this problem?

peace

I just figured something out....you can do as we did before...but I didn't give the image a gallery to put it in...and although it DID save it...it didn't like it not having a name...I just cut and pasted the NEW location with the gallery name in it...as I deleted it and reuploaded it...and not the image appears in the post....go figure.

Ahhhh, I see, I never thought about going back and editing my original post after I gave the gallery a name. I may go back and do that, just for giggles. Thanks.

That is my NEXT toy stutters....the company that makes them has been doing so for about 25 yrs.....and recently moved their facility to with about two hours of my house....

to buy what would be a turn key car MINUS the motor would be $14,500. I would hand build the engine myself, as air cooled VW motors is my speciality....that would run me about $6000 for the engine I have in mind.....that would give me a 1250 pound car with approximately 180 HP. all NA. it will seriously kick some major butt.

Enry has another thread out there that explains the gallery thing....I had never read it....but now that I did...it makes sence....what it ammounts to is NOW you can upload images and IF you fill in a gallery name in the space provided....it will put all those images in a gallery that you can give out the address to and when someone goes to that address they will get a box with thumbnail images to ALL the images in that gallery....its pretty cool

Ok, I'll have to play around with the Gallery thing. I read the other thread as was just about as lost. It doesn't help i guess when you are half asleep at work.

And, air cooled VW motors can be a kick in the pants. That would be a fun car to cruise in...550 kit car. Do you plan on sourcing a Prosche 5 speed to boot for all that massive air-cooled power?

actually there is no need. the VW gearbox was soooooooooo over engineered it wasn't funny.....I have personally taken one that was designed to have a 40 hp motor drive it...and put a 120 hp motor to it with no mods to the tranny...and punish it terribly...and NEVER had a failure....

however.....there are a few tricks to do to them to get you a posi/limited slip....

there is also a pioneer in the VW industry (Gene Berg, god rest his soul) that developed a bullet proof mod to that gear box that adds a 5th gear to it....actually creates a close ratio gear box....and its nearly industructable....his son STILL runs one in their shops race car that is pushing over 250 hp through it....they are like Timex watches.....take a lickin and keep on tickin!! lol

That's cool...My uncle was telling me back in the 70's he bought a VW Bug and built the motor for with a turbo and all kinds of trick stuff. He ran in it one night at his local strip, after tuning it he got a best 1/4 et of 12.999...When he got home that night the tranny blew up, littlerally. HE blew out the side casing.

So his buddy brought over a Prosche five speed and did some trick stuff to make it fit, and the car ran even better after that.

That's why I was asking. Of course, technology I'm sure has come along way in past thirty years or so.
