02 Protege ES driving in 1st and 2nd is fine but 3rd 4th 5th all shudder really bad with minimal acceleration. guessing tranny. just want to make sure

Im going to assume that it's a manual..

Did you verify that the shudder isn;t just the clutch?

well I was hoping it wasn't the clutch, got the spec clutch and fidanza flywheel. they have about 40k on them. but I guess I will have to just pull it and find out

Might be the synchronizes going bad. Third was going bad on my previous tranny, ended up popping out of third whenever I shifted into it. Finally lost it in rush hour coming home from college. Got perpetually stuck in 3rd and the clutch went with it. Sucked.
