Touch-up Paint

I have an issue with the factory touch-up paint. I have a 2008 Maz. 5 in Crystal White Pearl. I have had reason to use the paint for several MINUTE paint chips. The paint just does not cover...even after three applications! It is the correct color 8K. Is it just the white color that is the issue? Anyone else have this problem? No help from dealer.
Thanks.

Did you purchase it at the Dealer?

I just purchased mine from the dealer, counldn't find it anywhere else.......

Steller Silver 2006 Mazda 5, no problem covering small rock chips and small cratch from someone parking their motorcycle directly behind me.........

I also bought the touch up pen here in canada. They dont sell the bottle anymore. I used it initially on some small paint chips and I find its better not to use it at all as the quality of the whole surface is even worst than untouched at all. so I decided to buy the hood deflector so as not to make the present condition of my hood any worse

My 5 is brilliant black and the pen touch-up paint has worked well for chips on the door edges.

my touch up paint is watery too. I hate it.

Wow, I guess I'm not alone in this matter. I did get the paint from the dealer. It is the correct color code. It did sit for several months before I used it. Now, I carry it with me daily in the car, and shake it periodically. It is still worse than leaving the chip alone as wmzda5 stated in this thread. Not only is it watery, but it poorly covers and just does not match. Any other ideas?
Thanks.

The best thing to do with the pearl White is to put a base of flat white down first and then build up the Pearl with your touch up bottle. Try using Mazda code UK, it is a bright flat white. Let it dry and then add maybe 2 coats of the pearl. Pearl white is about the hardest color to touch up.
