Just got off the phone with JFLO, he just left his car at the shop...so we're on our way guys!!!!!! Hip Hip Hooray!

Im about to get the billet design 3in. midpipe back exhaust so if they can make a 3in. S-pipe I will be all over it. Is there anyway we can have an option between 2.5in. and 3in.?

so what's the verdict? i want 3", i want 3", i want 3", i want 3"....

come on, everybody say it with me...

YELL A LITTLE LOUDER!

i dunno guys...i think it's only gonna be a 2.5" downpipe. i'm gonna ask if there's a possiblity of enlarging the diameter of the prototype after culver's done w/ the one he's making

lamp3- i think DSMConvert said earlier that it would be extra for the midpipe

i think he would have a whole lot more business if he did 3"...

sorry...but i'm not really the kind to push right away, especially when this is the prototype as of right now. the piece is still getting test fitted. when culver saw the stock s-pipe location, he knew that it would be some more work before they could consider going larger than 2.5". and he just got the car yesterday to actually test fit the thing. right now, the only thing you can do is wait until the test fit is done. i'm gonna ask him tomorrow if there's a possibility of getting a 3" pipe made, and if possible, the price on it if he can make it

and right now, culver is not really doing this to expand a whole lot in terms of business. DSMConvert wanted to ask a well known mitsubishi/nissan/subaru fabricator to make a one-off piece for this car, so at this point, business isn't really an issue

Shop is top notch...like i said in past threads these guys are big in the dsm and nissan world....jflo is correct this guy doesnt need our business..originally he was only building one for me, but i decided to share the info the the msp community to see if anyone else was interested...the biggest problem with a 3" is the damn oil pan gets in the way..and you cant go too much to the passenger side because of the engine lift bracket...i dont want culver being bugged with this 3" thing untill he is done with the 2.5 protype. Hes putting in a lot of work to design this thing so lets give him the space and see where everything falls. After the 2.5 is done and being produced I will inquire more into the 3" possibility.

another update: car won't be finished until tomorrow due to bolts that could give some mazdaspeed owners a problem during installation. so he's currently working on it, and hopefully i will pick up the car tomorrow in the morning.

i haven't been to the shop since i dropped off my car...but the shop looks like a regular building out in front...haven't been around the back where they keep all the other stuff they work on..

i see. money order ok? jflo do you know how hard it would be to install? i heard ions one is. im thinking about the cat delete...hmmm depends on how much more. i think its easier to fabricate than the dp.

i'm not sure on money order, PM dsmconvert about that. from what culver told me, it could be hard to install, but he tried to design the pipe so it wouldn't be too much trouble for mazdaspeed owners. right now they're waiting on flanges to put the pipe together, and i'll be able to pick up the car tonight. the cat delete pipe, i'm gonna have to ask about that, too. not too sure about how easy it would be, but it seems like an easy concept since you just need make a pipe that will be the same as the length of the two cats.
