i never saw the point of getting a bigger downpipe and leaving the stock cat-back. it would go from free flowing to heavily restricted. i would work the other way first, start w/ a cat back then down pipe if doing it at different times, but that's just me.
i have the dp. I gave me a good bit of oomph to say the least. I am now custom fabbing up some 3inch cat back exhaust to mate to it. I am hoping for big gains. You wont be disappointed.

You definately won't be disappointed!I have it and it made a nice difference in the power.It is an awesome piece!Fits perfect and looks great!And when you get everything to install it and the O2 signal modifier to eliminate the CEL tha tyou would get from it without this part.It is an awesome deal at $299 +ship!I love mine and would definately do more business with Apex in the future!

on topic, I talked to Forcefed (Matt) and I can back up what he is saying here. From what he has said, it is a great mod for the MSP. I just wish I wasnt worried about this layoff s***, or I would order it.
The D/P does alter the sound a little bit but nothing to jump up and down over.It is not designed to alter sound but to free up restricted HP!It does make the car slightly louder and deper though,but very little.When you install it you will notice right away!

Hey i do think it will pace emissoins as long as you put the 02 sensor behind the cat im getting one made for mine 21/2 inch DP and high flow cat odbII cat into 2 1/2 inch exhaust is all ready done the guy is charging me 350 for everything dp and cat installed then im getting the IC pipes done next. THIS CAR IS GONNA FLY WHEN IM DONE!!!!
