Thinking of buying my first Mazda.

Hi there,
I've never owned a Mazda before, but I'm sniffing round a 2009 6-ts2 2.2 163bhp diesel estate.
Got a couple of questions,which I hope you people can clear up for me!
1. It looks and drives great...Are they as good as they look?..Reliable etc?
2. I know Ford owned them...Am I buying a Ford with a badge? (God forbid!!)

Any help would be much appreciated.

As a rule...

If you are getting a V6, the engine is made by ford.

If you are getting a I4 it is made in Japan.

In regards to the UK cars... i don't know. You can look on the engine for ford markings.

I don't think Ford is a bad thing.. They are huge and have been around forever..

The Fit and Finish on the American cars is crap, but you ar buying a Mazda..
