the whole world is watching

My Mom emailed me about this documentary that has been showing around the world.

You can see Afghan Massacre: The Convoy of Death. featured in a streaming video file via realplayer above. It's pretty rough, but still - it's good to know what the world is being shown.

Unfortunately, the truth is pretty harsh. It's worth pointing out there is some good going on as well, but ulimately the bad far outweighs the good. Of course what I am saying is purely opinion, but it's my american right to do so.

(rockon) (evil)

Bush has led this country into another situation that will be written up quite differently in the history books from one country to the next. If you don't believe me, check out the books used in Austrailia, the UK, netherlands and Asia and how they account for Vietnam and Hiroshima as compared to the books currently and continually being circulated in US High Schools.

The thing is, information is becoming a strong commodity. The internet and technology have given freedom of information the ability to transcend past barriers like it never could before. As time goes on, bandwidth will increase, streaming video, video codecs, and storage technologies will trickle down into more and more consumer equipment which is easily understood and used by the common man. George Orwell's vision was ultimately a few decades late, but the only answer a governing power could have will quite likely be "war is peace".

The thing I find most ironic, is that the gov't ulimately must cater to the commercial system to ensure that the very financial system which allows gov't to function is going to be what forces it to change.
Are you still reading? Watch the video or don't. Leave a comment or don't. I'm done for this post.

yup i saw this a while back never got frontpage news though. Could it be that all the mainstream news is monopolized and corporate controled? naaaaaaaaaaahhhh not in america! (rollseyes)

Not once did it show the "POW's" actually getting in the trucks.
Not once did it show the "POW's" in the trucks.

Don't believe everything you see on the internet.

American was once so definite about the mass destruction weapon in Iran too, and it drives to me a conclusion that Internet can be more reliable than CNN sometimes.
