Swap MT transmission guts from 1 case to another?

2002 Protege 5 MT- Long story short, I have 1 high mile worn out transmission with a good case, and 1 low mile transmission with a broken transmission mount (transmission case is broken).

I want to make 1 good transmission from the 2 I have.

Is it easy to swap all the internals from 1 transmission into another? Or am I better off just finding another used transmission?

I'd say just go ahead and try,... buy the used transmission if you fail,.. you might save some money and you learn some stuff,...
