Supra turbo?

I'm parting out a supra 7mgte and have a P5 sitting in the driveway. Would the CT26 turbo be appropriate for the P5? I'm guessing the supra intercooler wouldn't work as well as the options listed in the turbo sticky. Is that right?

Thanks!

Edit: From what I've been reading, the CT26 is pretty mediocre. Sounds like this wouldn't be worth the effort.

If it's free and in good shape it's worth a shot- if not and you need to rebuild, then no. Go look up a compressor map (and turbine map if you can find one) and see how they match up to the boost characteristics you want for your engine build.

Mediocre for what application? It's a stock turbo from a 26 year old engine design. It's set up to flow what Toyota felt was an safe & appropriate amount of air for a 3 liter motor. If you think you can use it on your 2 liter then you'll need to do some research into it's characteristics.

CT26 rebuild kits are <$50 on eBay so even if it needs rebuilding it could be a sweet deal.

+1 stock it'll do 230+ hp. unimpressive and pretty safe tuning for a 3l. big for a 2l tho. If it's free and you want to do the fab work...go for it. If not, send it to me, I have several toyotas that would love it.
