Smoke Screen Mod

When I went to run some errands today, I pulled out onto the road and looked out my rear view mirror and couldn't see anything but white smoke (a ridiculous amount of smoke). So I pulled into the next available parking lot, got out with the car still running, and it was oil being burnt like crazy. I don't know how it just all of a sudden happened, but with that much smoke, could it be just valve seals, or piston rings, or both? I just had my turbo replaced for burning oil, and I haven't seen white smoke like that since it was replaced, but this is a LOT more than that.

So with that said, would it just be worth it to forge the motor, since it's all got to be taken apart anyways, or just say screw it and put OEM stuff back in?

I'll try bringing it back in to the shop that replaced the turbo. Hopefully they can tell me what it is, and if it is the turbo, they should hopefully fix it since it was less than a month ago that they replaced it.

figured it to be the turbo...hopefully the shop will now warranty their work and fix it for free

Thats what I thought, but it smells like oil, and blown turbos can make white smoke too. My buddy has a turbo'd s2k with a blown turbo and does the same thing.

I brought it to a dealer, since they were the only place that would deal with my extended warranty. Turns out the PCV that I replaced last summer was clogged up, so they fixed it, and now it's not smoking like it was.

I put some of that Luca Oil additive that's supposed to stop leaks/help with tolerances due to the engine being older. I drove around a little bit, not fully beating on it, but got into boost a couple times. No smoke. There was smoke before I put it in at the store, but after like 5 minutes of driving, it went away. Hopefully it stays away now.
