Sirius AND Aux not possible?

I just bought a Mazda5 grand touring with the 6CD changer - no screen. I asked the dealer to install the sirius satellite radio and they tell me that I have to give up the Aux connection on the dash below the phone. I can have one or the other but not both. They say I can pay for the i-pod connection kit to overcome this.

This makes no sense to me. Is there a solution?
