So washing wife's 5 (2006 touring) yesterday I noticed that the driver's side side sill/ground effect/whatever-its-called (along the bottom side of car) has separated from the car a bit. Quick look and it looks like the clips are still clipped into the car body, so that implies to me that the clip has separated from the plastic.
So what to do?
should I try and pop the entire piece off in the hopes I can reattach the clips and get it back on without breaking anything else?
see if the dealer (grrrr) will cover it under warranty (we have the 6 yr/100k mazda warranty). is it a warranty item?
take it to a body shop?
not sure how much trouble I'll get in trying to pop the thing off myself. Right now its not bad, looks like 2, maybe 3 clips have popped, but its still firmly attached in front and back. If I pop it off and screw it up, she's gonna want it fixed pronto.
Not sure why it came off. I should check to see if she hit something.
