How many have experienced this: Driving with your headlights set to the Auto position, you pass underneath overpasses, through that shadow. Headlights flash on briefly and then off, when back into sunlight. Happens a lot when driving on freeways around the city.
Too me, that's more aggravating that the seatbelt chime.
Problem solved. (dance)
Apparently, there's a lot you can do with that computer buried in the engine compartment. I had this problem fixed today. From the factory, CX-7s have their headlight sensitivity set to "standard". The dealer set mine to "low" today.
Just tell your dealer to set it for you. Doesn't even require PCM flash. There's a procedure found on their tech website called "AUTO LIGHT ILLUMINATION LEVEL SETTING". My tech gave me a copy of it, in case I want to set this back to normal.
