roof rack caps

im lookin to pull the crossbars off my roof rack, but idk where the caps are that we got when we got the car. i was wondering how much theyd be at the dealership, or if theres somewhere else i could find them

I was quoted $150ish I believe? The guy gets a wide eyed look on his face and says, "wow, they must've gone up since I looked last time." I would recomend checking ebay periodically and checking around on here. I still have my luggage rack for the very reason that I'm not paying that much money for 4 pieces of plastic.

yea i figured theyd be around that much from the stealership...im not real fond of ebay, considering i just read the 29 page thread about the scammer that ****** lasermp5 outta his exhaust (as of now), but id like to lose the WHOLE roof rack, but i dont wanna rip my ceiling out, so taking the crossbars off is my next best bet...just wanna cut down on wind resistance

don't rule out ebay, i got my caps off them for $27 shipped. but if you really want to avoid ebay, you could always leave notes on other p5s you see in parkinglots, asking them if they still have their caps and want to sell.

i suggest positing in the wtb section for some caps..its WAY expensive at the stealership and they do pop up occasionnally for as cheap as maybe $30.

yea i saw, plus its a bid not a buy it now...ill prob search the forums too, see if anybody is sellin theres, or go with the idea of lookin for p5s in the area and puttin notes on em
