Rim Scratches - Suggestions?

I've notice a few good scratches into my alloy rims - any suggestions on touching them up somehow?

you could always take them to a wheel repair shop, they usually can fix curb rash...but if you're thinking about DIY solutions....I'd probably leave the rash alone....and stay out of the gutter! (pics) reMarkable where r u located? If you're in So.CA I can refer you to my friends shop he does wheel repair. But if you're just noticing little scuffs on the face you could see if a detailer could buff them out. I know some autoparts store sell a spray to paint wheels, but not too sure how good that stuff is, you'd have to sand/ prime and paint the rims in order to get them looking nice, and even then I'd be scared to do it myself...

I'm in NYC. Any idea on the cost of the repairs? I can get some pictures of the wheels for you to see the nature of what I'm talking about.

yeah, pics would be nice, I think it depends, shops around here do it for $60 up depending on the seriousness of the scratch up to total wheel repair if its dented, I think most place charge $60 to $80 per wheel, but I've seen it over $100 just for curb rash....I guess it comes down to how reputable the shop is and how good of a job they can do and what kind of damage.

A guess that doesn't sound terrible, relative to the work - but I'm not ready to fork that over just yet. If I do have someone fix them, I would want it to be from a solid, reputable shop - after all, I'd want them to do a wheely good job (silly)

Wheel repair

Check the yellow pages. There are a few companies around here that have mobile shops in a 1-ton truck. They remove your wheel, break the outside bead, grind, fill and finish the scrape and blend paint the repair. $200 per wheel. Not cheap but cheaper than new wheels. I curbed the right rear of my A4 a few years ago and learned the hard way!

Wow $200 for mobile? I've been quoted $60 up to $150...but thats from grounded shops. where I would have to leave the wheel for a day or so...I guess it depends where you are and where you go...maybe because my area's roads are fairly smooth, wheel repair isn't such a high demand job, so the shops charge less? maybe, otherwise I picked some cheap ass shops....maybe that's why my oem rim is still not fixed...j/k(sad2)
