Retrofit Auto lights

Has anyone tried to get the auto lights in their sport or touring model? I wonder if the body control unit is the same for all models, in which case it should be fairly simple to hook it up. I think it might even use the climate control light sensor to determine system activation. I'm going over the wiring diagrams to see if its possible easily. Right now I think it might even be as simple as just adding the stalk with the right switch to the column.

Update on my own post:
The rain sensor is needed to do this, thats where the light sensor is and it costs about $150.
The BCM appears to be the same which is good news.
Its a different windshield but I think the sensor can be mounted anywhere.
The stalk is about $50.
Bottom line is $200 and some wiring, unless the harness is present, should allow auto lights to be a retro fit. Anyone care to chime in?

I must say the auto lights are a good option, I have them on my Saturn.

Not sure this would be an upgrade I would be too interested in, I don't think 200 dollars is a bad price if this is really what you want.

Good Luck if you decide to go forward with it.

I have a canadian model 2007 GT MT w/ Auto light (standard). Recently noticed that the headlight is always on whenever the car is running even when I turn off the headlight switch. I only noticed this recently when I experienced problem w/ my HID shutting off and needed a restart to put them on again. Anyways, just remembered that the dealer changed the BCM a yaer ago because the fogs wont light up, Will consult the dealer next time.

If you are doing this mod watch out for this, the dealer worked on my car and its tricky. Good luck w/ the mod.
