my wife just sideswiped my snowblower and tore the handle clean off... how hard are these to replace?

Bummer dude.

I saw this yesterday, but had to restrain myself so I wouldn't reply with something I'd later have to delete ;)

well, I bought a new handle, clip and bolt. was like $75 shipped. My tech said it'd take him about an hour to do, so about $80 in labor.
not the end of the world

I've swapped and gutted two doors before (Miata and Impreza) and the internal workings are not complicated but came appear to be at first. It should not even take an hour to replace a handle but ~$150 to be worry free is not bad. You can often find handles on ebay for cheap but Mz5 might be more challenging since it is not as common unless it is shared with some other car. Btw, do you have to get it painted too?

nope, comes painted.
I'd normally do it myself but there's 2 issues:
1) it's super cold and I don't have a garage (which means the touch up paint would not adhere properly...
2) it's my wife's car and I want it done right.
