Replacing radiator

Gonna replace the radiator this weekend, is there something I need to know or do while replacing the radiator. Changing out the radiator, upper/lower hoses, thermostat/gasket and of course coolant. Just wanting to know what else to check for while im there, I heard there could be some king of release valve for pressure. Can anyone add some input on this thanks.

nothing you wouldnt do for any other car while doing the radiator, i did a similar service recently and it went smooth nothin there to really watch for as your replacing everything there would be to watch for. maybe check the color of the old coolant

Ok just did this, now the temp is rising up. Did I do something wrong or is the new thermostat faulty. What do you all think

Might have air in the system.
