Can anyone suggest on how to remove a scratch on a tail light? The scatch is not deep. There are a few products that was suggested to me like rubbing compound with scratch remover from Turtle Wax, a few Mothers scratch remover products, and some Maguire scatch remover products. There are so many brands out there and I just wanted to make sure I got the correct one without messing it up. Also, most of them are for clear headlights. The scatch is on the rear tail light and covers the clear as well as the red area of the light.

It depends on how deep the scratch is. Many of those products are to reduce the "haze" of weathered plastic, not to necessarily remove scratches. They may remove a light scrape though. I've used Meguiars Plast-X (sp?). It worked nicely on older headlights. Use a drill and a buffing ball for the best results but don't let the plastic get too hot or it may deform.

Good luck!

You can take a look at Quixx, it's from Germany; it worked on scratches that I had on my Honda. Not sure if it would work on plastic however.
