Removing exhaust manifold?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and have a question regarding my 2007 Mazda5 GT. I did several searches, and could not find anything related to my issue.

I am needing to replace the exhaust flex pipe on the front exhaust pipe, which includes the exh. manifold, cat. converter and flex pipe all as one piece. All bolts have been removed, and I am trying to pull it up through the front/hood. It seems very tight, and I can get it close, but not enough to pull it out.

Am I looking to move the motor by pulling motor mounts etc.. to get this thing out?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

While supporting the motor with a jack, I disconnected and removed the upper engine mount. Then I carefully lowered the motor. While still connected to the rear and trans mounts, it will drop and roll forward just enough for the manifold to clear between the top of the motor and the cowl. It is a b**** but it will come out. Helps to remove the exhaust manifold studs from the head to give yourself an extra inch.

Lower it easy. Make sure not to stretch wires or let the intake roll into the radiator fan.
