Does anyone know if there are any other non-ricer rear spoiler options that fit Proteges besides the MSP or Wings West spoilers?
I am looking for something more like a trunk lip spoiler than a wing.
(mspblack)
i'm almost tempted to see about mounting the stock wrx (2002 model) wing on the trunk. i'm not sure if it would fit or not but i think it might look cool. it's just a thought though. my roommate's got one on his civic....looks sweet. www.homepagez.com/redzero/
thats what I want to know... Or if you could just take the wing off... What holes would it leave? Could you cover them up and make them not noticeable?
If you open the trunk you will see two large bolts on both sides going from the wing anchored in the trunk lid. You can probably can take it off but those holes would be noticeable.
Maybe replace the trunk lid at that point? May or may not be cheaper than replacing the wing.
The Protege ES spoiler is smaller but looks so factory "after thought". I think I will have to change the trunk lid because they drilled so many holes to install the MSP spoiler unless I find something that covers the holes. I like the idea of the WRX wing but it is still a little to ricer for me.
Any other ideas???
I agree with this. It's (es spoiler) ugly. I bought my titanium because I liked the overal look better than the the black and orange but I don't like the spoiler. I hate the way it starts on the hood and curves out and then back in. I like the MP3 wing better and the wings west about the same as that one but I definitely wouldn't spend $400 on a spoiler I don't really love. Maybe I'm just being picky. I don't think I could design a better one.
This is the WW spoiler. I'm starting to come around to this wing. I know it's huge but I'm starting to think maybe it won't look out of place on the MSP. I think it looks pretty good with the body kit shown and that kit is not too different from the MSP's. Wings like this look good on cars that look aggressive otherwise such as the EVO and STI. I think I may have just convinced myself.
