Rear Fog Lamp Removal

Hi

I have recently bought a 2006 Mazda 5 Furano for the wife and had a tow bar fitted.

The car has just failed its first MOT test as the Tow bar obscures the rear Fog lamp.(pissed)

I now have 2 questions.

1, How does the rear fog lamp come out?
I have removed the only 2 visible screws and the lamp refuses to budge and I don;t really want to get too physical in case I break it.

The owners manual shows the rear fog lamp in the Buls replacement section but does not show you how to replace it

2. Has anyone had this problem before and how have you overcome it?

Where do you live ? Here in North America we do not have rear fog light.
