In no way is this meant to be a slam at all.. Just my observations having my new p5 for about a week now, i use to drive a GTP with a few bolt ons running 13's so my question is.. Knowing that it would be hard pressed to run that quick what mods are worth while, I have an intake, and Im going to get a short shifter, but I think that anything else might just be more cosmetic than functional unless steped up by perhaps a turbo or what not, I think im going to pursue more the handling since it awesome, now my question i have been doing some reading, it seems that only a rear bar is offered at this time, but what about springs do any of them do more than offer the lower stance, better rate progressive? and what about struts adjustable or are their just better replacements? and any other little tips would be cool. yup anways i love my car so far, just need to give it those little personal touches and any like local clubs or anything im in the orange county area in Ca.

There a few different companies that make springs for P5. You can also get the springs and some bars from MP3. I think Mitch has them for like $400 or something like that. Do a search on springs and you'll find a lot of topics that have been covered already.

We have an entire section that is dedicated to Wheel/Tire/SUSPENSION threads....you will find all sorts of stuff there on the subject you are asking about...but in a nut shell....

all the suspension upgrades you can do for the sedan you can do for the P5....the parts are the same....

you can get bigger FRONT and REAR sway bars...the front is a BI*CH to put in though.....

as for Struts....you can get the ones for the MP3/MSP or even go to Corksprot.com and get the adjustable mazdaspeed struts....

Springs...there are quite a few different companies that make progressive springs for our cars....Eibach, H&R, Tein, Spool .... they differ in the amount of drop.....so its mostly personal choice.

As for performance....there are only a few things you can still do....a Cat-back exhaust.....if you are going to stay N/A....intake and exhaust cams.....other than that....the only way to really get any serious HP is to go turbo....and there are about 4 kits available out there.
