Just a couple questions regarding the Canadian roof rack

1) Did your dealer install them for you or did you purchase them after

2) Is it easy to put on and take off the cross bars?

3) After they are taken off, are there covers to close the rack attachment areas?

4) What is the max weight on the rack?

5) Would you recommend getting them or go entirely with Thule or Yakima racks?

I've got a set of those..here we go....

1. Installed them myself, purchased them after.
2. so easy to take on and off..they lock on with a key once they are tightened down.
3. You use the same little covers you took off to attach the rack, just put them back in when your done with the rack...I leave mine in the ash-tray when I've got the racks on.
4. Not sure what the weight is but I throw three Windsurf boards up there no prob...I'll have to double check that one for you.
5. The Canadian Mazda racks are made by Thule....

On a side note...the racks are great, easy to take on and off, big thick rubber foot pads to protect the paint. Fit perfect and lock on to prevent (or try to prevent) theft. takes less than 5 minutes to get these on and you dont even break a sweat. Made by Thule..cant go wrong.
Paid $200 cdn from the local dealer.

Hope that helps.
