Hey guys. Well, I am finally back to almost normal after the family ordeal. Things are all fine, just had to take care of some problems back on the mainland. Thanks for all the kind words before my last departure, and thanks for the help with my audio questions. The layaway thing was a great idea Nuke, and I will be doing so starting tomorrow when I get back to business.
Ok, got a kinda dumb question for you guys, as I am sure you can provide some advice. A friend of mine in the Army has a Civic Hatchback. Anywho, its all riced out of course, except for the stereo, which he is working on. We have been looking at the same stuff in regards to amps and speakers, although he is in love with the Bazooka NOS bottle for the looks of his "Rice Mobile."
I told him that everyone on this forum I look at(this one), that no one has anything nice to say about Bazooka products. I told him that I would trust you over a crappy salesman here anyday. He asked me what sub I was going with, and I told him JL Audio, after recommendation from this forum.
So, it brought up a question, is it possible to strip the sub out of the NOS bottle from Bazooka, and then install an 8" JL Audio sub or any other sub of better quality? He said he doesn't want any pounding bass, and that the old 8" he had in his old car sounded fine to him. He is just stuck on the bottle to go with his real NOS bottle in the back.
So, what do you guys think? Is he completely out there, or is there a chance that this could work for him?
Thanks again in advance for any comments you may have.
