Question for those who Traded in MSP for MS6

i got the GT w/o moonroof or navi for 29K...but that might just be b/c of where i live...

i made a couple of grand off of my msp when I traded, but she was mint mint mint, 41,000kms, and brand new 1 day old Goodyear f1's on it.

Cool, good to know someone made some money on it. What did they give you in trade, dollars?

19500 Canadian I think. I owed 17,000. That's all Canadian.

They'll probably turn around and sell it for 21,000

Well....I drove the MS6 yesterday after work. I was pretty impressed with it. I just about pushed the clutch pedal through the floor though, as it was really soft compared to the act clutch in my MSP. The MS6 seemed to get up and go really quick and was really smooth. 6th gear is nice too. I didn't know what to do with it since I have never seen 6th before :p. I have to think hard about this...I want one, but I don't want to have a massive payment on it either.

I drove a used GT one with 8K on it. They were willing to let me have it for $25,500 out the door with the trade of my MSP.

I think I might hang on to the MSP until there are some incentives on the MS6. The APR was too high for the used car, 6.9%. I know for a new MS6 you can get 4.9% right now.

I am also going to see what a new MS6 Sport model will cost me out the door with trade. I like the idea of getting a new car again so I know the full history of the car. Who knows what could have been done to the other one in those 8K miles.

Anywho...just thought I'd let you guys know, and thanks for all the input.

If anyone knows of any or hears of any incentives on the MS6, please let me know.

Thanks,
Ryan

no way I would pay 6.9% or even 4.9 for that matter. Yeah, my suggestion is to wait. What is the ALR down there? Do they have the return customer loyalty rebate down there?

I asked about the return customer discount, and they don't have one. As for ALR, what is that?

Seems like the going rate is 12k-13k in trade. At least around here dealers don't want the MSP because it sits on their lot for a long time.

I wish that was true, my blue baby was gone off the dealer lot 3 days after i traded it in.

Ryan - Go for the Speed6! I fell in love with it after the test drive, there are some things you will miss about your msp, but in my case there are more that you wont miss.

Let us know how things go.

HAHA...Thanks! I'm still thinking about it. I like the MS6 style and nice options. I like the MSP payment :).

Tough decision.

only incentives ive seen are lease rebates, but if you are willing to wait a few months, there should be some good incentives around aug-sept. Especially since there are so many out there still sitting on the lots (poor mazda advertising again)

That is what I am seeing too. There is a $2k lease rebate, but I don't really want to lease. I think I will probably wait for a some better incentives, like you said. They will probably come out in Sept. I am sure there will be plenty MS6's left on the lot.
