mine came with two 3/16" ID hoses and I am wanting to completely remove the hose from the T to the wastegate. I looked and my wastegate has that coupler some people in the other thread were talking about that goes from 1/8 to 3/16 without breaking the 1 time clamp at the wastegate.
I had a hard time too, I pulled the T-fitting out from that bolted zip tie...looks tampered with now but its the only way I could get the wg line to have enough slack to work with. I thought about replacing the stock wg line, but I cant really reach down there w/o removing everything...
Here are the two things I am trying to figure out.
1) Removing the Stock WG line without damaging it.
2) Trying to reach that FKing Wastegate!!! Especially to put the new hose on. It's 3/16" ID fuel line that came with the MBC and it isn't very flexible as far as sliding over the Tfitting and the Coupler at the wastegate.
Its a b**** to get the line onto the mbc, but I used my stock WG line and it fit pretty well over it..then I just used really small zip ties and tied everything down...
now that's a damn good idea, didn't even think of that one. Now I will just have to see if I can separate that line from the T without it cracking! Anyone know if that make some kind of hose conditioner or something to keep the flexibility in the line?
i meant from the intercooler piping.
yea using the stock ones is a better idea, i couldnt use mine cause it was all brittle, i mean the whole thing was crusty so i just replace it with a new hose.
Mine has a few small surface cracks but nothing major..maybe I can get the dealer to replace the lines, because if I did it myself they would s*** a brick..
alright guys...what happens if the hose going from the MBC to the wastegate falls off? From what I have seen the MBC tricks the Wastegate into thinking it is not getting the 6.9 psi and makes it open up a little more?
