Alright, bear with me. I'm a kid with an extensive amount of tools and resources, but many questions.
what I'm wondering is if I took my whole dash out (gauges, dash cluster, radio, glove box, ect..) and fit it (like MCM did with the Tuuurd) with a newer model Mazda dash, maybe an 06 Mazda6 or something, generally, would you need to do different wiring and modifications to make a newer gauge cluster to fit with the engine's cpu? I'm not talking about Protege5's directly, i'm talking about dash/gauge swaps in general.
I really want to change my gauges and even do a whole new updated dash, but I just don't know how all that wiring works and whats back there. (i'm more of a mechanical bug, rather than electrical)
