Problems with Heat

Noticed my heat was only getting to luke warm past few days. Checked the coolant, seems fine. Carpet is not wet.

Any ideas what would cause this issue? Is there anything basic I can take a look at (switches,fuses) before I dive into Heatercore. Also can the heater core get clogged up?

Winter is approaching fast......would like to tackle this asap.

Check that your control cable for the heat hasn't disconnected or slipped.

Make sure the plastic control thing is pivoting all the way to full hot and set your cable clip to that point.

Guessing this is located under the dash/passenger foot well somewhere?

Yea,.. pretty easy to get to,.. just remove your glove box to gain access.

The black clip on the left side of the cable came off the white plastic piece. Back to normal now.

This was self inflicted pain I believe. Couple of months ago I tucked in an unused RCA wire from the radio in that area. I have a feeling it might have cause the issue over time as it was touching the mechanism.
