Power Window Lowers Itself

Hi All:

Just picked up a used 2006 Mazda 6. Strange thing. Very occasionally, I return to the car and find the power window on the driver's side all the way down and the window open.

Any thoughts what might cause this? Am I doing something noobish?

do you have the prox card style key?? if so make sure your not accidently having something in your pocket or bag or where ever you keep the key, depress the unlock button. cant really think of anything other then that(dunno)

Sorry to be so new to the car, but I am not sure what a "prox card" style key is. I assume that this it the flip key with the RF card in it. This is, in fact, the key that I have.

I'll try to be more careful. I guess it is silliness with the key fob on my part.

Thanks again for your help. The power options are make me edgy. Not used to power anything since my last car was a 95, and the repair costs are alarming.

I have had the same thing happen twice, unfortunately, we got rain when it happened the second time. I knew about the whole auto down feature, so I was always careful about not bumping the remote, and not keeping it in my pocket and it still happens. My car alarm also goes off when my keys are laying on the counter with my car in a garage too.

Honestly, I've concluded my car is possessed.

Window Motor

I would try www.rockauto.com out of Madison Wisconsin. Check with your dealer to first be sure what years (03-04) will work. I believe you can email him off the website and he can keep a lookout for you. He also lists on Ebay and you can ask questions there too. Good Luck !!
