It's to be expected though. We all know that is not the RX-8 forte and the Dyno calibration could be off as Altspace stated. But none the less, mazda needs to infuse the RX-8 with at least 200lb ft. of torque by any means necessary.
Still an awesome car for what it's supposed to be though.
i think you guys are missing the point of the rotary - as is everyone else that thinks the rx8 lacks torque. the beauty of the rotary is the torque is pretty much constant all the way to 9000rpm. not like a piston engine that loses torque considerably at lower or higher rpm.
