Note to Mods: I didn't know exactly what category the below question would fall under, so I've posted it here. Please feel free to move the thread wherever you deem appropriate.
A while back, I had a run in with a barricade at about 55 mph. It scratched the bumper, dented the hood and left some dents on the pillar and roof of the car as it was launched over the car. So today, I go outside and notice that one of the front license plate screws is slanted in the hole. I remove it, and the whole behind the bumper cover has moved down and to the right. Question is, is that part of the metal frame? Does that mean I have more damage than just some cosmetic stuff now? I put the screw back in, but it's pretty much just sitting there, only held in my pressure, as the hole is now unreachable.
Edit: Insurance claiming isn't really an option right now, or I'll get cancelled. I'm already having a tough time finding insurance as is.
