Paint fill-er-upper

So... I took my front license plate off but now I have two holes left over due to the lovely drilling into my car. I smoothed the holes somewhat but now I would like to fill in the holes and use my touch up paint to put it back to smooth happiness.

Has anyone had experience doing this and if so, what did you use? Some kind of epoxy?

Thanks!

My suggestion is to go to Mazda parts. They have plugs that are painted to match.

Epoxy...(rofl)

Don't like the epoxy idea huh :) hahaha

I could use plugs... but I was kinda hoping to make it smooth again.

without doing SOME type of filler, sanding, painting, its not going to be smooth.

to give you an idea, I have the same issue with my MSP I bought it in VA and DE doesnt require a front plate. Bodyshop quoted me $600 to fill and paint because of the time needed to fill it in. by comparison, I had a separate quote for a dent on the quarterpanel (stupid friend dented it with his ASS) and retaping the rear bumper trim, that together (which also required painting because of how they are pulling the dent) was 540.

yea... I did the same. I'm thinking if you can use the touch up to kinda fill the hold, it could look good enough. Maybe not that good close up, but at least it won't be noticable from a distance.
