Since a lot of people with the FS-DE engine have been having oil starvation problems, Beau has removed the oil pan from his spare engine and is designing a new 5qt pan to go into production in a few weeks. If anyone is interested in it, please subscribe to this thread so that I can handle your questions and any comments you have. If you are able to take pictures of an aftermarket header that you are concerned with clearance, please post that too.

I assume it will clear the stock exhaust (which means it clears most downpipes and headers. . .), right?

The pan will have trap doors and will not be any lower than now.

As long as it clears my ION s-pipe/downpipe I would be interested. It's a 3" pipe with a flange on the end that sits between the transmission and the oil pan.
