Yeah, I plan on attending quite a few starting in June. There are two other guys who I met last year - both (including myself) have mica black MSP. We all run in the stock D class, but one has racing tires and kicks out butt all day long.

I have done a few up in NE Ohio with the NORA people. I have heard that they are going to be doing it again this year in Lordstown.

Awesome. I'm usually at the SCCA solo's either at OSU or at Cooper. I'm starting in D stock, but before the season is over ill probably have my fmic, unichip, toyo's, motor mounts..So, we'll see where i end up. It always fun to have someone else with the same car to compare yourself to on the track tho..

I'm planning on running a few of both NORA/ASCC and OVR events. I will do some in my Protege and some in a C-Prepared Firebird.

Also in Eastlake as well, we'll be attending both. The MSP runs in STX class, we hold our own.

I've been running with them for about 9 years, but didn't make it out to any autocrosses last year because I spent the whole summer at tracks qualifying for my time trial license.
Unfortunately this year my car will be in SM due to the Carbon Fiber hood and removed rear seats. Other than that its pretty much an STX car. Oh well, it'll be fun anyway.

Did you end up getting that license?

Yes.
I started in HPDE 1 the first weekend, moved up to 2 for the 2nd, moved to 3 for the 3rd. Then I ran in 4 one day which is when they signed me off. Then I ran 5 events in TT to qualify for nationals. It was a very busy schedule, but I was rewarded with the national championship so I think it was worth it!

Yes, everything I've done on track so far has been in my Speed. I'm running it again this year and plan to go wheel-to-wheel road racing with it next year.
I'll be glad to help you any way I can. Let me know if you have any questions.

Awesome! Do you know the website for NORA or would you be able to post the schedule for this season?

Bill, my good friend Chris Tindol of Tindol Motorsports has 3 SWC Protege's for sale. I am sure I can get you a good deal on them.

thanks. I have the ovr one. This may sound like a dumb question, but how do you insert pic to reply or so it appears below user id?

There's a button on the reply to insert image but it requires a http:// link when my pictures are on my computer.

under the reply box there is a button marked "manage attachments", click that and you will get a pop-up box that allows you to search on your computer and attach an image.

The avatar can be added through the "user cp" on the bar across the top of the screen. Click "edit Avatar" and add a picture.
